Hey, friend! It's that time again! Here's what's happening
in the world of email deliverability as found on Al Iverson's
Spam Resource.
This week: AT&T's email transition to Yahoo is complete,
there's a cool site for fans of plain text email,
and then, for tools, technology, and best practices, I'm talking
TTLs, double opt-in and a cool tool from Groups.io.
Care about making the world a better place? Me, too, and
here's your final reminder that I'll be at Netroots Nation 2025
this week in New Orleans. Find
more info here, and maybe I'll see you there!
Thanks for reading!
ATT to Yahoo transition completed
The transition is complete, according to my little widget! All AT&T
consumer mailbox domains now have MX records that point directly to
Yahoo Mail's infrastructure.
The transition was announced back on June 24th, and here we are, just ...

Sending plain text emails in 2025
I'm not really anti-HTML email. Like many folks with a long history in

DELIVTERMS: TTL
Today on DELIVTERMS, the series here on Spam Resource where we help
decode email and deliverability terminology, we're digging into
something that's absolutely everywhere in DNS but rarely explained in
plain language: TTL. It stands for "Time To Live." And in DNS, it
determines how long a piece of information should be considered valid ...

AOL Adopts New DMARC Policy
A bonus article from the archives (Tuesday, April 22, 2014)
Today, AOL announced that they, too, have adopted a "p=reject" DMARC
policy. The same considerations previously mentioned as applying to
Yahoo Mail users now apply to AOL users as well.
In today's AOL postmaster blog post, Vishwanath Subramanian offers some
solid advice on how to deal with this change: ...
