I often like to check out tools that I've never tried before. It's great
to learn new things and it gives me more and better options to consider
when folks ask for recommendations around what tools THEY should
consider. What will best help address and improve things with regard to
their own email deliverability or authentication challenges? The more
tools I familiarize myself with, the better guidance I can give.
To that end, I have added Email
Verification from Alfred by Email Industries
to the Spam Resource email newsletter signup process. Doesn't matter
for you; you're already here. But I'll check any new signup attempt to
see if we can prove the address invalid before bothering to send a
confirmation request email.
You might recall that I previously worked for a company offering email
verification services in the past. I am not sure that everybody needs
email verification, but I do think there are good use cases for it, and
it's always good to do as much as you can to weed out bad or invalid
addresses before sending anything to them.
Back in my deliverability director role for one o' them marketing
clouds, it became clear to me pretty quickly that lots of email
marketers find email verification tools valuable, too. Uptake of these
tools always seemed to be pretty strong.
I've just implemented Alfred a few days ago, so it's too soon to measure
how well it'll help me keep junk addresses away from the signup process,
but it was very easy to implement their API and I'm liking what I'm
seeing so far.
If you've got any thoughts or feedback about the Alfred email
verification tool, feel free to reply and let me know. I love hearing
from readers!
Thanks for subscribing and thanks for reading. And now, on to the
deliverability news.

If you’re a regular reader of the blog, you noticed me including one of ...

try to minimize your spam score. But sometimes the results can be
cryptic, or you get a quite unexpected result. Understanding
SpamAssassin's feedback can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. You get ...
