Happy Monday and thank you for reading. As per usual, here's what's going on
in the world of email deliverability, from the world of Spam Resource.
On an unrelated note, I recently decided that I needed to uplevel
my email game. So I hired an earthworm, a centipede, and a millipede
to help me with email marketing.
After all, they’re really good at segmentation.
I hope you have a great week! And if you'd like to punch me in person
for that bad joke, be sure to come say say hello at the ESPC
Spring Meeting on May 21, in Washington DC. Hope to see you there!
Dead domain (sort of): solarmora.com
What the heck is solarmora.com? Have you seen this domain show up in
your email lists or customer database? I recently noticed this domain
showing up in the DMARC reporting configuration for more than 300
different domains.

filled with various artists -- first announced by A24 Music back in
December, 2023 -- but details on who else and what else will be on it ...

entries might have more info, some entries might have less, depending
on what information I know about them and what information I can find ...

Ask Al: SPF -all or ~all? (Updated for 2024)
Here’s an update to something I last answered a couple of years ago:
Hey, Al! I was wondering if you could provide some guidance about SPF
record format. Is it better to list the exact IP(s) in the SPF record?
How about using the SPF dash (-all), or tilde (~all)? Which way is more
common and better for deliverability?

Fun with data: DKIM selectors from spam
This may not be super scientific, but it is something I'm going to have
fun with nonetheless. Let's take the last thirteen days worth of spam
sent to spamtrap addresses in my Wombatmail spamtrap feed, which means
somewhere around 63,000+ spam messages. What percentage of the mail is
signed with DKIM authentication? About 44%. Of that 44% of ...
